Hotel Mak is situated right in the middle of the Golden Sands resort, nestling among lush green, centuries-old trees, just 300 metres away from the sea.

The main alley of the resort is very close as well, but the hotel is yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle in order to provide maximum relaxation and comfort. The recently renovated hotel offers 148 tastefully furnished rooms, a sky bar boasting incredible views over the whole Golden Sands resort, a restaurant, a lobby bar, a pool bar, a beer hall and much more to provide for a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Hotel information

Hotel Mak looks back upon a 50 year-long tradition in tourism based on high-quality service. It was one of the first hotels built in the Golden Sands resort, in 2002 the new 7-floor building was erected and in 2007 all its employees and guests celebrated its first 50 years of existence.

Food & beverage

The restaurant of the hotel boasts an inviting outdoor terrace among trees and lush green plants, allowing you to enjoy the great cuisine surrounded by fresh sea air. There is a buffet-style dinner, but the restaurant also offers à-la-carte dining.

The pool bar housed in a wooden pergola is very popular among the regular guests of the hotel, offering a cool atmosphere on hot summer days. When the night comes on, the fresh sea breeze calls up all guests under the centuries-old tree just next to the pool bar to enjoy exotic cocktails and other refreshing drinks.

The unique sky bar with its red-coloured interior urges you to dance the night away in passion. Its wonderful outdoor terraces reveal a superb panoramic view of the whole resort and the sea, promising unforgettable nights.

Breakfast was good and the location of the hotel is nice and quiet for Golden Sands.

Lots of mould in the room. Chief of reception said no other room was available and didn´t offer any compensation for it. After complaining several times, there suddenly was a new room, which was admittedly nice. But the contact with the people of the hotel was unpleasent.

It was ok the fact that we could find a parking place.

We did not have hot water and some of the days water at all. The hotel staff was very rude and was laughing of the situation. The elevator was always broken and I got stuck on it. The room towels were really old.

view from the room, breakfast, quiet in the night, close to the beach

too many students, not hot water most of the day (5th floor), poor english of hotel staff, it is hard to find the hotel(no visible sign)

I think the room was fine, it had the normal conditions to have a relaxing staying there. The hotel is in the middle of the Golden Sands Resort, not very far from beach, has swinmming pool, and the breakfast is more then ok.

not to many parking places, thought i think this is a general issue for the Golden Sands Resort.

The room was very clean, the hotel looks very good also.

We were unable to pay using a Visa Electron Card (from ING bank). However we were able to redraw money from an ATM in Golden Sands using the same card. We also had a problem with the cleaning lady - she opened our door at 3 P.M. while we were sleeping (she said that she wanted to clean the room but the room was already cleaned up in the morning).

for the price it was good only a five minute walk to the beach and clean and quiet. breakfast was abundant

there was no sign outside so it took an hour to find. They tried to charge us for water from the minibar - all the contents of the minibar vanished when the room was cleaned and I suspect, sadly, that they try this with everyone.
